Dr. Angie Eilers is an idea generator, strategic thinker, multi-tasking mother of twins, and a first-generation college goer. Based on nearly 25 years of research at Stanford and in the Big 10 (Universities of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois), she applies well-grounded evidence and in-depth analysis to problems that students face in education. Angie launched this educational software company with an award from the National Science Foundation Small Business Innovation Research grant. She received her Ph. D. at UW-Madison, Bachelors at Lawrence University and is fluent in Trello, Slack and Spanish.
Chief operating officer
Paul is a business grower that combines a technology base with business experience. Having founded two startups and worked at another, all in the technology space, he builds teams and processes to scale businesses. He has worked with Machine Learning teams to develop predictive analytics to provide value not previously possible from datasets. Having experienced firsthand the tools available to guide his four children's progress through the school systems, Paul sees the need and value of leveraging Machine Learning to support students, parents and educators in helping students achieve their goals. Paul received his B.S. Electrical Engineering and MBA both from the University of Michigan.
Chief technology officer
Peter is not only an expert full stack developer, he also facilitates top-to-bottom creation of technology -- building web applications and writing data analysis scripts -- meaningfully incorporating technology into business practices. Peter has both led and supported technology development for several startups and mid-sized businesses, including his own startup TeachersADE. His book, Hammers Don't Build Houses, helps practitioners understand that people need to wield technology with a purpose in order to make a difference. Peter holds a PhD and Bachelors from University of Minnesota. Besides teaching engineering when he can fit it in, he's also a first-time dad.
